Hog Peanut or American Hogpeanut

Hog Peanut or American Hogpeanut [Amphicarpaea bracteata] found near the Blue Ridge Parkway in South Asheville, just off the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, on 7 September 2014. It’s a vine and a member of the Pea (Fabaceae) family. Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, pages 110-111 states that it blooms in summer and early fall in moist thickets.
