Strawberry Bush or Bursting-Heart [Euonymus americanus] found at 106 Troy Hill Circle on 15 September 2013. This shrub is a member of the Bittersweet (Celastraceae) family. Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, pages 304-305, says its flowers bloom in late spring and early summer and grows in rich woods. Below are the berries resulting from the flowers.
