Large-flowered Trillium or White Trillium

Large-flowered Trillium [Trillium grandiflorum] or White Trillium photos taken in Gerton on 4 May 2013, off a little roadside turn-off. It’s a member of the Lily (Liliaceae) famly. Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, pages 124-125, states that it’s found in “rich woods” and it flowers white, turning pink as it fades.
