Rue Anemone [Anemonella thalictroides] photos were taken on the Mountains-to-Sea trail between the Blue Ridge Parkway Folk Art Center and Visitor’s Center on 16 April 2017. It’s the member of the Buttercup (Ranunculaceae) family. Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, pages 392-3, states it’s a “delicate spring flower” that is found in open woods. It can have 5-10 petallike sepals.
