Common Ninebark

Common Ninebark [Physocarpus opulifolius] found near the Hermon Cemetery on 21 June 2013. It’s a shrub that’s a member of the Rose (Rosaceae) family. Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide, pages 308-309, says that it blooms in late spring and early summer. The early blooms are white in color.
